Whether you come to relive your childhood memories or you just simply want to see what your parents have been raving about for all these years this is the show to see. These legends of the 60’s will deliver to you a night never to be forgotten. You will find it impossible to remain in your seat as these incredible artistes fill your venue with nostalgic memories performing hit after hit.  


STARRING

DOZY BEAKY MICK & TICH.  In 1964 the music scene was lit up with arrival of Dave Dee Dozy Beaky Mick and Tich. By 1966 on a massive roll the band were in the charts for 50 weeks out of 52. In Germany alone in 1967, record sales outsold The Rolling Stones and The Beatles. Hits include Bend It, Zabadak and The Legend Of Xanadu plus many more. This fast-moving energetic set from DBMT will have you dancing and singing in the isles. 

THE TREMS (former members of The Tremeloes). The Tremeloes came to promenence in 1963 with their first number one Twist and Shout. From then the world became their stage performing on it for the past 61 years. They have earned a fantastic reputation as not only one of the most entertaining bands on tour today but, also for their distinctive harmonies. Other hits include Call Me Number One, Even The Bad Times Are Good, and of course their worldwide number one hit, Silence Is Golden.

THE FORTUNES. Hailing from Birmingham England, the band first came into prominence in 1964 with their hit single Caroline, which was used as the signature tune for the influential Pirate Radio Station of the same name. Other classics include, Storm In A Teacup, You’ve Got Your Troubles, Freedom Come Freedom Go. The Fortunes still continue to tour the world today.  

THE SWINGING BLUE JEANS. The SBJ’s have a history that spans back to the early 1960’s. The band’s first big hit single ‘Hippy Hippy Shake’ was released in 1963. Other hits were soon to follow ‘You’re No Good, ‘Good Golly Miss Molly and ‘Don’t Make Me Over’ have been the bedrock of the band’s memorable live performances.  The Swinging Blue Jeans have been led by Alan Lovell, faithfully carrying on the long tradition of the band. 

VANITY FARE. Formed in 1966, are a British pop/rock group famously known for such hits as, I Live For The Sun, Early In The Morning and the worldwide classic, “Hitchin A Ride” which scored the band a number one on the Billboard 100 in the USA.  The harmonies of Vanity Fare a renowned throughout the sixties scene which makes them one of the best vocal groups still touring today.  

Step back in time to when pop music was at its very best.

Hearing loop

The stalls of the Main Hall and New Hall are equipped with induction loop systems, but operation is dependent on each individual event or performance, so provision can vary. Wheelchair access

Wheelchair access is from the Killermont Street entrance (North Entrance) only. From this entrance, there is Lift access to all levels.

Each performance space has designated seating for wheelchairs and a companion is welcome to sit with you. Please contact our box office team for more information at box_office_enquiries@glasgowlife.org.uk

Breastfeeding is welcome at the venue.

Cafe or restaurant

Full table service is not available, food or drinks are ordered from the service counter. However, food and drinks can be brought to the table. 

There is not a lowered section at the counter.

No tables are permanently fixed. No chairs are permanently fixed. Some chairs have armrests.

Drinking straws are available.

Menus are hand held and wall mounted. Menus are not available in Braille. Menus are not available in large print. Picture menus are not available.

There is no on-site parking but there are nearby car parks:

Photography and video recording

At times, Glasgow Life will be on the premises to film and take photos. 

The public are only permitted to record and take photos where explicit permission has been granted in advance. 

Free wifi

Yes, there is free public Wifi access. To connect, visitors have to register with the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall Public Wifi which should pop up on their browser. After that visitors will only need their password for future uses.
